Nine students feared dead in Ogun auto crash

NO fewer than nine students of Itori Comprehensive High School, Agbon, Itori, Ogun State, were crushed to death Wednesday when a truck laden with granite fell on them and trapped them underneath.
The incident, which occurred abound 3:45p.m, when the students were returning from school, caused pandemonium as angry students blocked the ever-busy Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.
For hours, the protest, which was eventually hijacked by hoodlums in the area, caused serious traffic jam. But for the presence of stern-looking policemen, who stormed the scene on time, the situation would have gone out of control.
The Ogun State Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Ayobami Omiyale, confirmed the incident, stating, however, that only five students died in the accident.
