EFCC to arraign Kaduna Deputy Speaker over fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, said it is set to arraign the Deputy Speaker of Kaduna State
House of Assembly, Mato Dogara, on Monday over an alleged N17 million scam.
This is contained in a statement by EFCC spokesperson, Wilson Uwujaren, on Sunday in Lagos.
It stated that Dogara would be arraigned before a Federal High Court, Kaduna. The statement also said that the suspect would be arraigned alongside two others, Kabiru Malali and Ahmed Yahaya, former Chairman
and Treasurer of Lere Local Government of the State respectively.
The statement said the suspects would be arraigned on a six-count charge, including contract over-invoicing and criminal diversion of funds.
Mr. Dogara is a former Chairman of Lere Local Government and had also served as commissioner in the state.
